Tartar represents a bacteria that gather in the gums and at the bottom of the teeth. It is very dangerous and can lead to several mouth diseases. We must keep our teeth white and healthy and our mouth very clean because everything we insert into our bodies is mainly done through the mouth.
A simple brushing of the teeth is not enough when we talk about oral hygiene. The maintenance of the gums, tongue, and everything connected to that area should be kept safe and clean especially as we get older and our entire body tends to become weaker.
Research has shown that inflammation of the gums can actually lead to a number of diseases seemingly not associated with the mouth like Alzheimer’s disease, heart diseases, as well as pancreatic cancer because the organs are affected when the mouth is not cleaned as it should.
So you need to go through every area of your mouth when you brush your teeth and make sure you replace your toothbrush every three months so it doesn’t accumulate a massive number of bacteria after a certain time period.
So what can help you remove tartar for good?
Lemon and mint oil
Mix water some squeezed lemon and some mint oil and use the mixture to rinse your mouth thoroughly.
Rosemary and mint
Mix these two ingredients with water and leave it for about 15-20 minutes. Take only the liquid and rinse your mouth well.
Flossing will go to places that your toothbrush can’t really reach and it will clean your mouth from all the leftovers inside.
Melt some coconut oil until it turns liquid and uses it as a mouthwash to remove the bacteria from your mouth as well as prevent cavities from appearing.
Use Tartar targeted toothpaste
Use toothpaste that is meant to stop tartar and clean your mouth from any sort of infections and the chemicals in it will break tartar and prevent it from appearing ever again.
Use Aloe Vera gel and Glycerin
Mix Aloe Vera Gel, Vegetable Glycerin, sodium bicarbonate, squeezed lemons and some water. Make a paste and wash every day and when you see the tartar disappearing, switch to once or twice a week.
Use orange peel
Rub the peel directly to your teeth and leave it like that for a couple of minutes. Then, rinse with water. The peels will kill the microorganisms in your mouth.
Eat more Fruits and Vegetables
Eat apples, melons, carrots etc. an hour after your meal so you can cleanse your mouth, whiten your teeth and strengthen the gums.
Use a battery toothbrush instead of a regular one so you can clean your teeth better and the toothbrush to be able to enter places a regular one wouldn’t be able to reach.
After your normal teeth-brushing dip the brush in some lemon juice. Rub the brush on your teeth with gentle movements and then rinse with tepid water. Your teeth will be whiter and tartar free in a week!
